Volunteers Wanted for a "Creek Caretakers" Work Day!

Our next Creek Caretakers workday will be on Martin Luther King Day, January 20, 2014, from 10:00am - 12:00pm. Please click here to download the flyer with more details.

Union City Civic Center Park is on Niles-Alvarado Rd.  Enter from Royal Ann Drive and meet behind the skatepark.  

We will work on the following projects to help improve the health of the creek and provide wildlife habitat:

  • Seed wildflowers along the creek trail
  • Water recently planted native trees
  • Monitor the water quality and pick up trash along the creek and duck pond

Please come out and be a part of a great project in your community!

Open to all volunteers; kids 12 and under need to be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. Youth groups with leaders are welcome!

If you are under 18 years of age you must have a parent signature on the appropriate liability release forms. Download the forms here on the website and bring to the event already filled out and signed by your parent.

Community service hours are awarded. Please bring your schools form with you.  Logan High School students please contact Barbara Hart at the Logan High School career center at bhart@nhusd.k12.ca.us for a form.
